GOFAINEAT feasibility: generalization is the research risk
Historical feasibility study · 2026-09-08
This is an early feasibility assessment, not experimental proof or an implemented system specification. Its statements about the absence of data or implementation describe September 8, 2026 and may have been superseded. No deployment, economic saving, performance or generalization claim is certified here.
Project owner: John Alexander Mobley. No individual writing byline established. This is a curated excerpt of original project documentation, with internal implementation references omitted. It is not a new paper or proof.
## Generalization risk The central uncertainty is whether a GA-evolved rule population reliably generalizes to real unseen contexts for a given slot-type, versus overfitting to whatever training examples it was evolved against. This is the actual research risk, not the engineering — GAs are easy to implement and easy to get mediocre, brittle results from. No existing evidence in this portfolio (or found via search) that a real trained classifier of this kind has been built and evaluated here before. Rated: real but unproven — needs a small real pilot before broader investment, not treated as settled. ## Pilot scope **Assessment: A narrow pilot is feasible quickly; the general system is not a one-session build.** - A single, real, narrow pilot (one slot-type, one small hand-labeled or programmatically-generated training set, one evolved classifier, verified against real held-out examples) is realistically scoped as a real, boundable first increment — consistent with how every other capability built in this portfolio today was scoped (narrow, verified, incremental).
